Creating Leaf Text ~ PSP 7

Note:This effect works best using a fat font ~ I used Poster Bodini BT

  • Create a new image 300 x 100/ background color= white
  • Create a new layer
  • Click on the text tool
  • Select the text tool
  • Click on the new layer
  • From the text dialog box select the following:
    • Name = Poster Bodini Bt (or another fat font of your choice)
    • Size = 48
    • Kerning = check the auto kern box
    • Leading = 0
    • Select Standard Text
    • Click on the black arrow under Styles/Fill and select Pattern
    • Click on Fill and from the pattern dialog box select Leaf
    • Create as a floating/alias text
    • Type your text in the box and click OK

  • Select Effects/3D/Inner Bevel
  • Use the Pillow Bevel and adjust the intensity to 65 - click ok

  • Select Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow
  • Select Vertical = 3/ Horizontal = 3/ Opacity = 61/ Blur= 2.5/ Color = Black
  • To add the spades - click on the tubes tool/Garden Tools/ Scale = 26
  • Add a new layer and click until you find the spade
  • Select Image/Rotate/Left/Free/20
  • Add a small drop shadow to the spade
  • Select Edit/Copy
  • Select Edit/Paste as New Layer
  • Select Edit/Mirror
  • Add additional text in brown on new layers
